How to use Shea Butter & Recipes
USE PURE SHEA BUTTER
LIP CREAM
For a beautiful smile, think shea butter. Apply a small amount of pure shea butter to your lips. This colorant, preservative and additive free solution will make your lips supple.
HAIR
Shea butter is ideal for dry, curly hair. Apply shea butter to your hands and rub them together. Once your hands are saturated with shea butter, run it through your hair, especially on weakened ends.
HEELS
For silky heels, apply pure shea butter to your heels and cover with a cotton handkerchief. Leave the shea butter to penetrate overnight. Repeat for 3 or more consecutive nights, until your heels regain their suppleness and softness.
USE SHEA BUTTER IN YOUR COSMETICS RECIPES
MAKE YOUR OWN BODY CREAM
Melt 50g shea butter, 25ml coconut oil and 25ml sweet almond oil in a double boiler. Mix the butter with the oils, then remove from the heat and leave to cool for 30 minutes. Place in the freezer for 20 minutes to harden slightly. Then whip the mixture until you have a butter-like consistency. Your body cream is now ready. For best preservation, keep the mixture in a cool place.
SOLID BODY BUTTER
Make your own solid butter to apply directly to the skin. It will melt on contact for quick application and satin-smooth skin.
Melt 25g beeswax and 25g pure shea butter in a double boiler. When the mixture is smooth and liquid, remove from the heat. Then add 25ml coconut oil. Mix well and pour into silicone molds, then leave to cool. Once dry, unmold.
SHEA WHIPPED CREAM
Create your own shea whipped cream to moisturize your skin lightly.
Take pure shea butter and beat it in a food processor. If the butter is too hard, don't hesitate to put it in the microwave for a few seconds.
To preserve this shea whipped cream longer, we recommend adding a few drops of vitamin E.
SHEA BUTTER CONDITIONER
Make your own shea butter-based conditioner.
Lightly melt pure shea butter in the microwave for a few seconds. Add coconut oil and mix. Place in the fridge for a few minutes, until the mixture is partially solid. Then whisk together and pour into a sealable jar. Store your shea butter conditioner in a cool place.
