How to use Black Soap & Recipes
LIQUID BLACK SOAP
ALL WASHABLE SURFACES
Dilute 1 tbsp. liquid black soap and 1 tbsp. baking soda in 1L of hot water, then transfer the solution to a ready-to-use spray bottle. Shake well before use.
DISHES
Pour ½ liter of hot water, ½ glass of liquid black soap, ½ glass of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of bicarbonate of soda into a bottle with a spout, then mix vigorously. The washing-up liquid is ready to use.
GLASSES
To wash and shine windows, mix 1L warm water and 1 tsp liquid black soap in a spray bottle. Clean with a sponge and squeegee, then dry with a soft cloth or microfiber cloth.
CAR, MOTORCYCLE, BICYCLE
Pour a capful of liquid black soap onto a sponge to clean the entire interior, from dashboard to gearshift and leather seats, then rinse. For bodywork, dilute 2 tbsp. black soap in a basin of hot water, rub with a sponge and rinse. Brush rims directly with pure black soap. Finish cleaning inside and out with a dry microfiber cloth for a perfect shine.
SILVER, COPPER, STAINLESS STEEL
Dilute 4 tbsp of liquid black soap to 5L of hot water in a large container. Soak parts to be treated for 5 to 10 minutes, then drain and dry with a clean cloth to restore shine.
TILES, TERRACOTTA, WOOD FLOORING, LINOLEUM
Liquid black soap is ideal for washing, degreasing, nourishing and shining all types of washable floors. Mix 2 tbsp. of black soap to 5L of hot water, wash with a Spanish broom or mop, then leave to dry without rinsing. To care for terracotta tiles, rub them directly with pure black soap without rinsing, for better protection.
PLANTS
Black soap is a shiny, protective cleaner that's ideal for removing insect marks (aphids, mealy bugs) from plants. Simply dilute 5 tbsp. of black soap in 1L of hot water in a spray bottle and allow to cool before use. Preferably spray early in the morning or at dusk, and avoid spraying in the middle of the day under the sun or in the rain.
PETS AND LIVESTOCK
Use black soap as a mild shampoo to shine the coat and act as an effective anti-parasite. Pour a small dose of black soap directly onto the animal, lather and rinse thoroughly

GARDENING TOOLS
Apply a dab of soft black soap to a brush and scrub metal parts of tools. Rinse with hot water and dry thoroughly with newspaper. Tools will be clean and better protected.
CHIMNEY
Start by vacuuming away soot stains. In a basin of hot water, dilute 2 tablespoons of soft black soap, and use a soaked brush to clean the stones and bricks. For fireplace inserts, place a dab of soap on newspaper rolled into a ball, rub vigorously to restore shine, then finish cleaning with a sponge dampened in hot water and dry with a cloth.
WOOD / LEATHER
Apply a dab of soft black soap to a slightly damp cloth and rub gently to restore suppleness and shine. Before applying the soap, test on a hidden part of the furniture, garment, bag or shoes to be treated.
SLUDGE / PAINT
Apply a small amount of soft black soap to the stain on the reverse side of your laundry before putting it in the machine.
GREASE
Apply black soap to grease stains and rub lightly to penetrate. Leave for a few minutes before machine or hand washing.
STUBBORN ODORS AND STAINS ON MATTRESSES
Cover stains with black soap and white vinegar using a cloth and leave for a few minutes. Rinse by dabbing with lukewarm water and leave to dry.
OVEN
On a slightly warm oven, apply your black soap to the areas to be degreased, then sprinkle with baking soda and leave on for half a day. Scrub and rinse thoroughly with hot water.
HOOD, HOB AND BARBECUE GRILLS
Regularly degrease grills with a sponge soaked in a dab of black soap. If the grease is very stubborn, soak the grill for a few hours in a basin of hot water with 2 tablespoons of black soap, then rinse thoroughly with hot water
